Cold Justice by Sam Cogley
English | 2026 | Mystery & Thriller
In the snow, everyone leaves a trail… even the dead.
When his former brother in arms PI Nicolas Buxton asks for his help on a case, ex-US Marine Dane Winter heads to the freezing Colorado ski town of Crestwater Falls. Local resident Jamie Fields has gone missing without a trace after being involved in a suspicious car accident on a treacherous mountain road four weeks earlier.
There’s no body and no leads. Only Jaime’s desperate father searching for answers. As Winter and Buxton work together to put the many puzzle pieces together, things take a deadly turn when Winter himself becomes the target of an unknown enemy. Are they connected to Jamie’s disappearance? Or are they linked to Winter himself?
What started as a missing person case quickly spirals into something far more dangerous. A deadly force with its own agenda, willing to turn the mountain town into a war zone.
Cut off by a relentless snow storm and hunted through the frozen wilderness, Winter must rely on every skill in his arsenal to uncover the truth before Crestwater Falls is torn apart. Because whatever came to the mountain is prepared to kill for what it wants.
