The Arcane Architect Chronicles by Marcell Anver

The Arcane Architect Chronicles by Marcell Anver
English | 2026 | Sci-Fi & Fantasy

They called his magic trash, but he’s about to turn their world into a blueprint for his own empire.

Imagine standing on a jagged cliff edge, the salt wind biting through a thin canvas vest, staring up at a rotting castle that actively wants to kill you. You aren’t the Chosen One. You don’t have a sword of destiny or a wallet full of gold. You have a brass pen, a water-damaged library book, and a team of outcasts who are one bad day away from turning into monsters. This isn’t a story about saving the world with a snap of your fingers; it’s about saving your home, one nail, one rune, and one desperate plan at a time. It is the grit of the job site colliding with the terrifying grandeur of the arcane, where the only thing standing between you and oblivion is a well-placed load-bearing beam.

Jax Theron didn’t come to Aetheria Academy to be a hero; he came to avoid prison for unregulated potential. But when the System assigns him the class of “Architect”—a utility role mocked by the elite battle-mages—he is discarded to Blackwood Hall. It’s a ruin where the roof leaks wild mana, the basement is a drowning pool, and the roommates are a feral werewolf, a sun-phobic vampire, and a shy golemancer made of living stone. To the school, they are garbage to be evicted. To Jax, they are the foundation of something greater. He doesn’t have fireballs or lightning bolts. He has physics, engineering, and a stubborn refusal to let the elite kick him while he’s down.

But survival isn’t enough when the golden boy of the Obsidian Tower decides he wants to bulldoze Blackwood for a flower garden. With a siege looming and zero budget, Jax has to do what he does best: renovate. Every skill must be learned through sweat and failure. Every resource must be scavenged from the scrap heaps of the academy. He can’t out-blast a Thunder-Lord, but he can rewire the plumbing to shoot boiling mana. He can’t cast a master-level shield, but he can turn a foyer into a fatal funnel. The siege is coming, and Jax is about to show the world that while wizards cast spells, Architects dictate reality.

The blueprints are drawn, the trap is set, and class is in session. Welcome to the renovation.
