1983, Texas Life on the Alexander ranch seems peaceful to most, but it is anything but, being the only girl raised with brothers and a single father in a lower-income family. When her plan falls into place, and she becomes the girl’s godmother, Nova wages a brutal psychological warfare on the young girl, forcing “mother” from her lips.
