The Fallen Wren by Heather Sinclair
English | 2026 | General Fiction
It’s 1939, Britain is at war, and 18-year-old Evelyn has just been thrown out of secretary school.
Desperate to make her parents proud, she joins the Women’s Royal Naval Service and becomes a Wren.
Life at Portsmouth naval base, however, is very different from her sheltered boarding school existence. Evelyn must overcome the challenges of her new job as a transport driver, not to mention the Luftwaffe’s devastating raids and defending herself from a vindictive rival Wren.
Just as Evelyn begins to find her footing, a dark secret from her family’s past in India surfaces. Determined to uncover the truth, she turns to her friends and a handsome Canadian soldier to help her find the courage she needs to free herself from the past—even if it costs her the family she loves.
