The table is set for a feast – wine glasses, fancy tableware, candles. Like every year, we have gathered at our father’s home on Liars Island for the holidays. It’s the only time we’re ever together as a family. As we eat and raise our glasses, we avoid each other’s eyes…
But this year someone new has been invited. Someone we haven’t seen for years. Someone who keeps asking questions about that terrible Christmas six years ago, when our mother died.
